taking SAT more than once

Hi,
Several colleges I'm interested in applying in have said on their websites that they really like to see students take the SAT I more than once/ at least once in their senior year. I am currently a senior, and I took the SAT I in June 2006 as a junior.

My score was 2290
M: 760
CW: 800
W: 730 (essay 11)

Would it really be beneficial for me to take it over? I didn't study for the SAT I the first time, and I probably wouldn't for the second time either... (i'd be taking the October 2006 SAT I)

Thanks! I really appreciate any advice.

No, unless you think that you can score much higher. The second time is just to show improvement on the first one and i wouldn't take it a second time without studying.
