Thinking about the super score - if you had two high SAT section scores (let’s say 750) and one low section score (let’s say 610), what are the thoughts here about re-taking the SAT and answering only the questions for the lowest scored section in an effort to improve that individual section?
First, not all colleges superscore. In fact, a very large minority, including most public universities, use that test with the highest composite. Second, colleges state that they will not use lower scores against you in determining admission when you submit multiple tests. However, that does not prevent them from using the fact that you obviously blew off a section of the test against you. Third, College Board may construe the failure to do a section as an abnormality requiring cancellation of the entire test.
