I was wondering if it would be best for me to take the SAT subject test for math II next year. Would I be better prepared by taking calculus? I heard that calculus does have to do with trigonometry which is on the math II test.

I'm in regular pre-calculus right now (there isn't an honors) and I'm planning on taking either the Spanish or physics subject test during my senior year with it, so I could take all the tests on the same day.

I would think it is ideal to take it at the end of this year, when you are finished with Pre-Calculus. Pre-Calculus also has a lot to do with trig, which is on the Math II test. If anything, you’ll learn your trig from pre-cal, and not Calc. You’re just going to be expected to know trig concepts when you’re in Calculus.

oh wait I wasn’t paying attention to what class you were in now, yeah, def finish precalc first, and review for math2 and your final at the same time and take it at the end of the year.

note: youre gunna need to know some extra stuff, i.e. matrices

Ok thanks, well, my pre calc class is only half a year, so I’ll be finished with the class by December. I guess, I’ll probably sign up for the January one.
