I have already met the requirements of most of my colleges in terms of taking the SAT subject tests and have already sent score reports. However, I recently came across some new programs that I am seriously considering. Unfortunately, these new programs require subject tests in new areas. Since I'm not sure how I will fare on these new subjects and am satisfied with my current scores on the subject tests, can I take those extra tests and submit the new score reports with all the scores only to those schools that require the new tests? It wouldn't be against some sort of college application policy to submit outdated score reports, would it?

Thanks

Are you a senior applying to colleges this fall? Then all you have to do is ask College Board to send in your score reports NOW (or at least before you take the new subject tests) to the colleges where you have already satisfied the testing requirements. Then ask CB to send your report to the other schools AFTER you take the new subject tests.

You wouldn't be sending "outmoded" score reports. The reports would be current at the time you asked them to be sent.

Yes, I am a senior applying to colleges. And like I've said I've already sent out the score reports to the colleges I'm applying to. Just wanted to make sure there isn't some clause somewhere that expressly forbids me from taking more tests after I send them in. Because, you know, I thought the whole point of the cumulative score report is so that the schools get to see your entire testing history, both in the past and in the future (as strange as that sounds). In the end it probably is just a matter of principle

What about the Common App? If I take these SAT Subjects for Regular Decision, I need to take them in November (after the Early Action deadline).. and the Common App won't let me change the application after I submit. Since I have to list all my test scores but won't have them in time to write in before I submit the Common App for EA, am I basically prevented from meeting the requirements for applying to the other program?
