Taking summer classes (clarification)

I plan on taking both prereqs and normal classes during summer. I’ve been looking up whether this is frowned upon or not, and it seems like it is?

I just want some clarification on the topic. Is this pertaining to people who take prereqs back home at their community college, or does it also apply to those that want to take them at the current university they attend?

Did you end up taking summer classes, regardless of your answer?

Taking summer classes at your current university is fine.

However, make sure that spending your summer taking coursework is the best use of your time. Summers typically are used for working on pre-med ECs.

One of the reasons why summer pre-reqs are sometimes discouraged is that summer classes are short and intense, leaving very little time to recover from an academic missteps.
