I want to take AP Calculus BC senior year, but I don't want to jump from pre-calc to BC. We have integrated math, so technically it's trig, stats, and pre-calc all mixed together. It's practically unheard of at my school to take BC without taking AB first. That's why I want to take a college-level introductory Calc class over the summer. I don't care if the credit counts or not. I just want to gain the knowledge and not fail AP Calc BC. Has anyone done this before? If so, was it worth taking?
I'm a bit concerned about cost. How much do community colleges usually cost per credit. Calc I is 4 credits btw. Are we expected to pay all those other fees (athletic, technology, health, etc.) if we're only taking one course over the summer??
Thanks!
