Know how to play all the angles???
You & @SculptorDad remind me of this HBO documentary series,** “State of Play: Trophy Kids”**, that I watched on a long flight.

Trophy Kids, … on HBO, follows four California based sports parents and their individual obsessions on developing their children into star athletes.
“It raises the question of how much do we push as parents?” executive producer Peter Berg said. “What should we reasonably expect? Where are the lines?”
The subjects of the film include Andre, whose preteen daughter Amari is an aspiring LPGA golfer frequently driven to tears by her dad’s cursing fits. There’s Steve, who estimates he’s spent the cost of “two Lamborghinis” on coaches, trainers and travel teams trying to help get his high school basketball playing son Derek a college scholarship. Jamie is a devout Christian who tells her twin teenage sons that she is making a “covenant with God on your behalf that you be number one in the world in tennis.”
My jaw dropped while I watched this series. This documentary should be cross listed in the horror genre. HBO should make a college admissions rat race version of this series.
