I never took geometry or tri in high school. It wasn't required for graduation. I've noticed some of the math problems in the Accuplacer exam contain tri and geo questions. If I do poorly on these questions, will I be forced to take one of these classes to earn admission at a community college? I've read that for most majors, you only need to take algebra at this college but I'm concerned since the other types of math are required for admissions.

I don’t think so, I think you can just retake the section. Better yet, just learn trig. It’s super basic it will only take a couple hours. It’s really not hard at all, I had a geometry teacher who barely spoke English so I didn’t learn anything and I got a perfect score on it. Close to no trig

CC’s will admit you even if your math background is thin. That’s not a barrier. At worst, they may recommend you take the equivalent of remedial math – something akin to what you would have taken in HS. But again, it’s not a deal breaker. it’s just one step in building your tool chest for future academic success.

Glad to hear it!
