Taking the ACT 3 times and the SAT once

Hello Everybody!

Before applying to colleges, I would have taken the ACT 3 times and the SAT once. I just wanted to know whether taking the tests these many times will be viewed negatively by colleges that look at all scores. I think it is also worth noting that I have made significant improvements after each testing. My worry is that colleges will view my initial scores as laziness rather than a commitment to getting a better score.

If anybody has any information or knowledge on this matter, any input will be gratefully appreciated.

Thank you!

2-3 attempts for a test is the norm, so you should be fine (:. Just don’t take another one, that’s when it will look excessive.

As long as you are showing improvement in the scores, remember that you only have to send the top score date to a school. I don’t think the schools care how MANY times as much as what is your BEST test.
