taking the december SAT..need advice

well i currently have an average of 1750-1800 SAT score..i know i can do MUCH better. do you think it's possible to go from an 1800-2200 in a range of 3 months. I really wish to attend an IVY leauge and i no its not easy at all, but after seeing a few posts around here, i've heard some people go up 300-400 points! is it really possible, and what recommendations would u give to a junior regarding the SATs?

Yes, it is possible. No, it is not likely. No, you should not pin your hopes on such a strategy. Personally, I've gone from a 217ish PSAT to a 2250 SAT after a school year of grammar, and a summer prepping. I consider myself to be a good candidate for improving my scores too as I never really paid attention to my math grades when I was learning the stuff on the SAT (i got 12%s on my tests). I would focus more on raising your score to a 1900-2000 and doing some ECs.

You could either take a prep course or really work on 1) learning SAT strategy and take a lot of practice tests. If you haven't prepped much for the SAT or know what your weaknesses are, then yeah, you could likely improve a lot if you put the work into it now.
