Taking the hardest courses possible

Hey everyone

I'm currently a junior hoping to apply to HYP next year. My schools system is a bit weird, we have grade 11 functions, and then grade 12 advanced functions, and then finally we can take grade 12 calculus.. MY question is would it look bad that I did not take grade 12 calculus when I send in my application since I will be taking advanced functions at that point(in December..)? Should I somehow take grade 12 advanced functions now and then take grade 12 calculus grade 12 semester one? Or will HYP not mind me taking calculus second semester grade 12(which starts in late January)?

thanks

If that is the normal sequence of courses at your school, you should be fine.

If you feel prepared to skip/jump into a higher math class early, by all means try it.

So, in other words, do what is best for YOU.
