I heard that California has made a new rule saying that you can't take the EIT exam until you are a senior. Is that true?

If you are able to take the test beforehand, is it a bad idea to take the test at the end of your sophomore year? I considered taking the other discipline test that focuses more on statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, etc. I want to take the test either at the end of my sophomore year or at the end of my junior year so I can focus on studying for the test over the summer. If I can take the test after my sophomore year, the three classes I will not be prepared for are engineering economics, surveying, and thermodynamics. I will have already completed all the maths, statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, etc. My biggest concern for taking the test at the end of my third year is that I have a higher chance of forgetting some of my classes like the calculus series. What do you think?

I wrote this message in the other section "College Life" but I want to delete it since I think this section is more suitable for this question.

Thanks.
