Taking the same SAT II twice?

I haven't taken the SAT II's yet, but I was just wondering that if it's normal to take the same SAT II exam twice, like the SAT I's. Thanks.

PS SAT II's are always offered in October and November right? That's when I plan to take them, after I get the SAT I out of the way on May and June.

yes, many students frequently take the same sat ii twice because they would like a better score, this usually occurs when say a freshman "honors biology i" student takes the sat ii biology, gets somewhere in the 600s and feels that he/she can do better, in her junior/senior year after taking ap biology she would take it again and most likely do way better (btw colleges DO NOT CARE if you take the same sat ii again, simply because the date that you took the test will be shown, so if its like a 1/2 year gap you are fine) The only thing is, what colleges DO NOT LIKE is when a student who receives say a 780 on Math IIC retakes it for a higher score, that is just a discouraging obsession with a high score, if you are above 750 (granted the percentile is also good for the test) you should DEF. not take the same sat ii twice. I would say above 700 but the reason i point out a score like 780 etc is colleges don't like that obsession, its futile.
