i'm pretty sure i didn't break 700 on the math this last time i took the sat. i think that if i got tutoring though that i could if i took it again in january. but how would yale view this? like if it went like this development:

1st time (junior year, summer):
w - 800
cr - 740
m - 600

2nd time (this november, speculated scores)
w - 800
cr ~ 800
m ~ 650

3rd time (january, speculated)
w - 800
cr - 800
m - 700+

would this be fine? would my highest score--even if it took me 3 times to get 700+ on math--be impressive and considered?

I would definitely retake it a third time if you feel you can do better. In my opinion, as long as you don’t take it OVER three times, colleges won’t really look down upon it. On my third time taking the SAT, my score in that sitting alone was 90 points higher than my previous superscore. Take it again, I’m sure you’ll improve.
