I have taken the SAT 3 times. My best score is 2100. I really regret taking it so many times because I did not study for any of them and it looks bad to take it a lot, but there's nothing I can do about that now.

I want to take the SAT again, this time with proper studying. I'm thinking of taking it in October... I'm pretty sure I can get it up to a 2250 by then ><

Which looks better, 2100 in 3 sittings or 2250 in 4 sittings?

you choose which scores you want to send… colleges wont know how many times you have taken the sat

Some schools require that applicants send all SAT and/or ACT scores. Check the respective admissions websites of each college to verify what policies are in place regarding Score Choice reporting.

Note that not all schools accept score choice. Also some schools may show your test scores on transcript. There is no reason to lie. If you really need the 4th take to get your best score, go for it. It may hurt your chance in some school, but it may open the door to some better schools too. You should have learned your lesson after the second attempt though.

If I use Score Choice, will colleges still know exactly how many times I took the SAT? X(

If they accept score choice and your high school do not show your SAT scores on it. They would not know your other score and do not care how many times your took the test.

By all means take it again, but I don’t think it’s realistic to expect to raise your score by 150 points by taking it a 4th time, even with ‘proper studying’. I hope I’m wrong…please let us know how you do and good luck!

Why not try the ACT?
