Taking the SAT Twice

If I take the SAT twice, obviously both sets of scores are sent to the colleges that I apply to. But, since most schools combine, do the admissions people see just the combined score or both sets of scores and then combine? I have one low score in verbal, so my higher score might seem like a fluke.

From what I've read and heard, most of the time, there is going to be a computer program or an Admissions employee who goes through your application and condense it down to a simple form with your best scores etc. If a college says they consider the highest score from each section of the SAT, then this is probably all the AdCom's see.

Most colleges do use composite scores, right?

Usually someone not on the admissions committee processes these.
