So i took the ACT in april and scored a 34 (36 on math and reading, 33 on english and 32 on science) and i took Sat subject tests in may 800 math 2, 790 chem. Im taking the SAT on saturday june 4th but ive been taking practice tests and only been getting in the 2060 to 2190 range which is not close to the ACT, how will colleges view that score and will my high ACT over shadow my SAT?

Only send colleges your ACT score

Relax, your act score is enough. Congrats, and chill out.

If I were you, I wouldn’t even bother taking the SAT. Your ACT score is fine and if you aren’t scoring any higher on practice tests it’s kind of a waste of time.

unless you are qualified for NMF (which requires a SAT), I’d sleep in on Saturday if I were you. Not worth getting out of bed for. (Just for kicks, however, I’d take a September try at the ACT to raise that science score, and perhaps score 35+. With Score Choice, there is no reason not to.)

34 is a great score. If you take the SAT (or ACT again) and do worse, you’ll have to report that to schools that don’t do score choice. When my son got the 34 he didn’t take it again. He just didn’t think it was necessary, and I was concerned he might do worse.
