Taking the SATs tomorrow, any quick tips?

Hey! Im a junior and I'm taking the SATs for the first time tomorrow.. Ive been taking practice tests and am in the low 700 high 600 range, but would like to bring them up just a tad more.. any suggestions? I'm super nervous for tomorrow, I reaaally want to break 2000, just not sure if ill be able to...

1) Most importantly, relax! I know it’s easier said then done, but you can always re-take if necessary.
2) Go to bed early tonight, get plenty of rest. Lay your clothes/things needed for the test out so you only have to pick it on your way out.
3) Get a good breakfast in the morning, maybe bring a snack / power drink for the breaks between sections.
4) It may be a little late, but remember to pace yourself. Remember that unlike any test you’ve taken, this one is almost not expected to be completed.
5) Look at a question, narrow down the answers as much as possible. If you are completely lost or can’t narrow down enough, move on and attempt it after you finish.
6) If you don’t know the answer and can’t narrow it down to at least 2 answers, consider not answering it all.
7) The most important part: Do not attempt to just bubble in anything if you don’t know the answer. You essentially start the test with zero points. Every question you answer right gives you points, missing a question takes away 1/25th a point. So if you miss 4 questions, that takes a single point away. If you don’t know and skip it, then you lose no points. (Granted, you still have to answer most if you want to get any points. :))

Hope that helps, post later and say how you did :)

A friend of mine who did well on the exam brought a bunch of power bars with him. I think he brought one for each section of the exam. Don’t be too nervous going into the exam; make sure to remember that A. it’s just a test, and B. that if you do poorly you can always retake it at a later time. (and/or try the ACT.)

^^Just to be clear, if you can eliminate any answers it is to your statistical advantage to guess from the remaining ones.

You already know what to do. You’ll be fine.

 1. Relax
 2. Bring snacks
