<p>Is it possible to retake just the writing section of the ACT or SAT? What is the best course of action if the writing section is much lower than the other parts of the tests?</p>

<p>You can’t take a separate writing section for the SAT, unless it’s a subject test. You’ll just have to retake the entire SAT - but don’t worry, if your other scores go down the next time, most colleges superscore. :)</p>
<p>Thank you so much for your reply, I’m actually asking for my son. I’m letting him enjoy his scores for now and wanted to know what the options are when we visit the subject in a few weeks.</p>
