Taking theater classes as a freshman

Just wondering. I know even freshman have to audition to take the theater classes, but how hard/competitive is it to get a spot in class? And would non-majors get good opportunities?

Thanks.

well, as far as I know you need to be pretty good–which implies prior theatre experience. That said, however, preference is given to theatre majors–and those would be sophomores/juniors/seniors who have declared.
It’s worth a shot though–you never know what you might get!
Here’s a list of theatre classes offered in Fall 2008, it may be worth emailing the profs of the classes you like and seeing what their take is.
