Taking theater senior year?
Class decisions for senior year are coming up , and I've always wanted to take theater, Advanced theater production. I haven't had time to in the past, but this senior year i have one open elective spot. I am thinking about taking Advanced Theater Prod. next year, but i'm worried that colleges will think it's a cop out class or that I wasn't dedicated because I didn't do it 2+ years..any advice?

The rest of my sched:
AP Stat (already took AP BC, and Calc II), AP Chem, AP Econ/AP Gov, Peer Leading, Theater?, and AP Lit

I have a 3.85 UW GPA overall, and I am targeting a profession in law ( I do mock trial as well) and my top schools are GTown and Emory, any advice guys?

I see no issue with an elective as long as nothing else is lacking (which seems to be the case). You might want to mention theater in one of your essays to express your passion regarding it though (confirming that it is not simply a meaningless elective).

Adv theater is a phenominal class (IMO) and even people who started my senior year still feel welcome. And it’s NOT a cop out class, you may get the A pretty easily but you’ll still have to put in extra hours of rehearsal.

Unless you’re going for super-high-reach colleges (Ivy and such), most colleges probably won’t care that you took a theatre class. In fact, it’d make you look more well rounded.

Seriously, get into Theatre if you can. It’s incredibly rewarding (I just helped out on my school’s production of Les Mis), and the arts are a great way to let yourself loose and also to learn about yourself.
