Due to scheduling conflicts, I may have to take a Chemistry 14A final from 8-11, and then a Math 3A final from 11:30 onwards on the same day. Would this scenario be too tough for a typical student to handle at UCLA?

It is doable, but not recommended. That's an awful lot of studying.

What day is this taking place? If Monday, then you're really pushing it.

yea I have that once....

Definitely doable. Just lock yourself in the library for the preceding week... (I'm exaggerating of course).

math and chem on the same day will not be fun...but doable, I think.

The finals are happening on Tuesday. What I'm worried about is not having a night beforehand to study for math and chem separately; instead, I'll have to cram both subjects into my head in one night.

I've really haven't had this type of scenario happening to me during my high school career. If a student takes a Chem final first, and then a Math final afterwards, will the student be more apt to forget more math concepts once he/she takes the math final?

In high school we always had 2 finals on the same day. True they were way easier than college finals, but it's still doable. Just make sure that you study more than just the night before. I'd say study at least starting 5 nights before the exams. Good luck!

I also have a dual final on one today, albeit different subjects. How flexible are final dates? Are there ever "2 testings" so I can ask one professor if I can take the final on the next day?

I have known people that have had 3 finals on the same day... I doubt that professors will let you take the final at a different time...

Finals on the same day are a fact of life at times, not much you can do about it.

hmm well for summer school at ucla i had econ 2 and pre calc;) midterm on the same day and i did really well. i did better on midterms than finals even tho the finals were on different days. honestly, just prepare ahead. u can study all 10th week and weekend and u should be fine. study for the class your more worried about first and keep on pace during the 10 week system. i did that in a 6 week coarse and i basically set the curve for both midterms.

I was going to say the exact same thing as allena. Double finals are quite ordinary.

Yes! The great flopsy replied to one of my threads! My life is fulfilled now!

Kidding. Sort of. Ehh....;)

Thanks for all the input, guys and gals. I'll be staying with the double final schedule.
