Taking Valencia Classes while a UCF student?

Hello Guys! Thanks for reading this!
I applied for Summer 2015 at UCF and I got accepted. I was wondering now that instead of going to UCF, why don't I just attend Valencia for this summer? That way it'll be cheaper as financial aid will not cover this summer and as well as save my commuting my time.
Now I don't know what exactly should i do, would it be best for me to call UCF to change my term to Fall now and then I just take classes at Valencia?
OR I stay enrolled into UCF for Summer and just apply as a transient student at Valencia College. After this semester, in the following years will I be able to apply as a transient student, or is this only like a one-time opportunity?

Thank you guys!!

You can apply as a transient student as many times as you want, there’s just a lot of paperwork and it’s a bit of a hassle when trying to get your full financial aid amount. I was a transient student at Valencia for several semesters, but they were only lower level classes.

If you are not currently attending a college this spring it is possible for you to get fasfa for the summer as long as your classes start before the end of what fasfa considers to be this academic year (which is usually the end of June). Also, you would have to reapply to UCF if you do not go in the summer like you put on your application. I was in the same situation as you and ended up going to Valencia in the summer and just entering UCF as a transfer student. It was easier that way.

You can get financial aid for Summer if you prepare a 2014/2015 FAFSA. Then for Fall you would prepare a 2015/2016 FAFSA. My daughter did Summer B because she too was accepted for summer start, but if you don’t accept Summer, you won’t be admitted to Fall. My daughter also did Valencia classes (and saved money) during the summer in her sophmore and junior year. After junior year I believe, all classess need to be at UCF, they won’t accept any transfer credits during your last year or so before graduation.
