<p>What does “Talent/Ability” refer to on the CollegeBoard and Princeton Review websites?
It says that this is a Very Important factor for Brown, while SAT scores are only Important/Considered.</p>
<p>Just wondering what exactly talent/ability means, and why it’s weighted more heavily at Brown than the other Ivies.</p>

<p>Were you great at science research-- i.e. success in competition or completing a research project that was considerable in size/difficulty?</p>
<p>Were you a top debator? Do you do really well at Science Olympiad, Mathletes, FBLA, etc etc etc etc.</p>
<p>Are you a professional level musician?</p>
<p>Brown likes students that excel in areas that they took the initiative, love, and interest to pursue because that's what you're asked to do while attending.</p>
<p>Also recruitable athlete</p>
<p>Does this mean that being an artist, interested in pursuing the arts at Brown to an extent could assist me substantially in getting in?</p>

<p>I did not continue taking a foreign language because I took Latin as my language and it was discontued after my sophmore year because the teacher retired. And a good thing about my being in Latin is that I fought for it to be pursued as a class by petitioning.</p>
