"Talent and Ability"

This section of Princeton Reviews listing of academic factors is listed as "important" for both of my top schools. But the thing is I just don't think I have any that relates to my major (economics/business). The only things I can think of are my playing jazz drums and sports. Is that appropriate?

Also, where to mention this in an application? Is there an appropriate subsection or is this an essay mention?

I don't think it matters whether your talents and abilities have anything to do with your major. What schools want to know is that you are an active, involved, well-rounded person. In fact, it's good that you have varied interests.

On commonapp there is a section for talents and abilities, and I'm sure just about every college app has the same thing.

Write your essay from the heart, addressing whatever question is given. If your music or sports work their way in, great, but I don't think you have to force them in.

Good luck.
