Hi, I wanted to take a moment to say how impressed I am with the talent in the Musical Theater major at Ithaca. This weekend Ithaca held the first all Theater reunion for those of us that had already graduated. It was also the rededication of the newly ( and may I say spectacular) redesigned Theater building. We were entertained by the current students at a a wonderful dinner. Each and everyone of the students was super prepared and wonderful to watch and listen to. We also attended a performance of Chicago and I was WOWed at the talent. I am sure we will see many of these performers on Broadway very soon. At an after the show party many of us almnae said how high the talent level iis. Congrats to all you Ithaca students. You made me proud to have graduated from the Ithaca Theater department!!!

Camge–thanks for your post. As a parent of a freshman D in the BFA MT program, it feels good to read your very favorable impression of Ithaca’s current program and facilities. My husband and I just returned from Family Weekend at Ithaca, relishing the chance to finally see D in the flesh after 9 weeks. Skype just doesn’t quench a mother’s/parent’s need to really know how your child is doing. D is thriving at Ithaca and she could not be happier with the strong acting-based curriculum, her appropriately matched voice teacher, the very approachable faculty, and her extremely talented fellow MTers and actors who now make up her “home away from home.” My they do stay CRAZY busy! We too saw the outstanding production of “Chicago” and were equally impressed with the talent in every facet of the production. I will now travel back this weekend to see D perform in “Women and Wallace.” If any prospectives on CC have any questions about IC’s program, I’ll do my best to answer!
