<p>So how much weight does a unique talent have in the college admissions process? In my case, I'm talking about musical talent, more specifically the bassoon. I've played for years, been in lots of groups, and have gotten some special distinctions.</p>

<p>I'm sending in a supplemental CD and a music resume--how much do you think this kinda thing will help me?</p>

<p>I guess this could be a discussion about any other talent (sports, art, yo-yos) too.</p>

<p>It could help a lot. My understanding is that bassoon is one of those instruments that is always in demand for college orchestras.</p>
