Talk about a hobby? common app short essay

<p>For the 150 word answer in the common app should I talk about old currency/coin collecting?
I'm pretty serious about it, active in forums, belong to clubs, created databases which have sold many copies and have a website in which I buy and sell.
Not relevant at all to my major, but I think it would stand out more than me talking about volunteering at a mission back to school giveaway or tutoring french.
I'm applying to Liberal arts colleges (one of which is Jesuit).. If that means anything</p>

<p>I would say definitely talk about a hobby. Almost everyone I know has done some sort of volunteering activity or tutoring session but I don’t hear about many people serious about coin collecting. It’ll help you stand out- which is what you want to do in your application =).</p>
