I just missed the chat session but I have a question about placement test. I scored above 600 on the sat math section and I am in the school of arts and sciences but plan to transfer into the school of engineering. Do I need to take the algebra placement exam? Thanks!!

Hi Wonderwall,

Because you are currently an Arts and Science student you need only follow the Arts and Science guidelines. Which means you must take the placement exams if you scored below 600 on the SATs, below 26 on the ACTs, and are not transferring AP Calculus credits. (I.e. since you’ve scored above 600 you’re exempt by our standards). However, if you want to know the engineering requirements for your own purposes, feel free to contact School of Engineering’s Advising Center.

Thanks that saved me alot of time!!
