Kudos to Auburn! Great Talons day and organization. It was good to see the Dept Heads waiting to talk with the students in the break out sessions. S was very impressed this time around.

Auburn does a wonderful job in selling itself to good students.

You guys got some great weather for Talons Day. Personally, though, I prefer cold, rainy days. I saw some of the signs for “Talons Day” as I rode the transit, and it got me thinking about the new “wave” of incoming freshmen. I actually felt old for a second, even though I am only a freshman. :)

I was extremely impressed with the day overall. Started out as my safety school, but definitely made a good impression on me. I really felt like the wanted us to go there…

Definitely, most people out here are very friendly. I am not the most outgoing guy, and I still made friends pretty quickly.

Every school tries to do a good sales job on prospective students. Some pull it off better than others. Our tour last Spring was one of the better ones. Friendly, enthusiastic, and opportunities are the words that jump in my head when I think of Auburn. My son says it’s one of his top 3 schools. But that could change next week!

We’re headed to the TALONS day next Friday. Finishing up some departmental apps this weekend and hope to find out about more money next week. Also we went to the NC celebration last weekend and took our Sophomore. It was her first time on campus. Definitely a top choice for her. She’s been a tad more studious this week at school.
