<p>I will be applying for a Ph.D in engineering mechanics or Theoretical and applied mechanics programs for next year, and want to know what are the best schools for this. Specifically, my interests are in solid mechanics and materials, and I prefer computational to experimental work. I have asked my professor what the best schools are, but he is kinda eccentric and won't really give me definite answers. please help me!</p>
