Will I get into tams with a 4.7(out of 5.0) gpa and a 2200 on the sat?

If you have any specific questions about the TAMS program or the interview process, email tams.outreach@**** and they can answer all of your questions (that is a gmail email address in case it blocked it out). You can also be connected with a current student to ask them questions about their experience with the interview and with things in general about being a TAMS student. It’s a great resource!

If you’re taking about the Texas Academy of Math and Science, then what I’m saying will help you.

TAMS looks at your whole application (extracurricular activities, grades, etc.) and then decides. Even if some people get a 2400 on the SAT and have a perfect GPA, they may be rejected if they don’t do activities after school. TAMS places weights on certain elements in regards to the other elements.

With your SAT score, you do have a higher chance as the average SAT score of the accepted applicants is around 1800. But then again, everything matters.
