Is it possible to get into TAMS even if you had a few bad grades in middle school and freshman year?
Or are they not willing to look at your application at all?

What is the average GPA of people accepted?

What is the average GPA of people accepted?

TAMS, possibly even more so than most top colleges, looks at students very holistically. GPA is certainly a factor, but so are the interviews, interview day math tests, demonstrated interest in math & science, and “fit” for the demands of early entrance.

A few Bs and Cs should not be an automatic disqualification unless all of them are in maths & sciences.

If by “bad grades” you mean a few Fs, that could be a different matter.

Let’s say that I have a high Bs for both my math and science. Is that still ok?

As much as I hate giving this answer, it depends. Bs won’t disqualify you, but will hurt you a little. Cs and Fs in high school might severely hurt your application. The holistic review process majorly takes in gender and original high school.
