I have not yet heard back from A&M and I applied to the Mays business school for business administration. I heard that Mays is completely full, so does this mean I won’t be admitted to TAMU? I also have Communications as my alternative but I also heard this program was filled. Should I change my major of my application or should I wait it out?
Availability of your major has nothing to do with admission. They look at your application ‘major blind’ then make a decision for offer of admission or not ( full, gateway, blinn team, PSA or denial). Once you get that decision to accept your offer, you have to pick an available major in that offering. Changing your major does not change your admission decision, step 1 is admission then step 2 is picking your major. They don’t change their admission decision based on your major - it defies logic, but it is the way that TAMU approaches admissions.
Thanks! Do you happen to know how often they notify review applicants on their status?
