TAMU Class of 2018 vs. Class of 2021

Here are the side by side comparison based on the rough numbers released for 2021:

Total apps : 35667(2018) / 42,000 (2021)
Full Admissions: 17076 (48% of total apps) / 19800 (47% of total apps)
Guaranteed Admissions (top 10% + Acad) 14276 (84% of full admissions) / 16,000 (81%)
Review (holistic) Applicants Full Admissions: 2800 (16% of full admissions)/ 3800 (19%)

Numbers used for admission profiles (on college search boards) include Blinn Team & Gateway for total admits:
21676 (61% of all apps) / 24510 (58% of all apps ** now includes Galv & Mcallen Eng too)

Number of review applicants: 21391 (13% of review apps gain full admission) / 27,000 (14%)
40% of the total applicants (guaranteed admits) had 100% full acceptance rate / 38%
60% of total applicants (review admits) had 13% full acceptance rate / 62% had 14%

Here’s the Review Admit category breakdown: ( the quoted numbers for 2021 do not add up nicely, so estimates)

13% Full admission / 14%
19% Blinn Team / 9%

42% offered PSA ( 38% qualified) / 39%
23% no offer of admission ( 27% after PSA non-qualifiers added)/ 26%

New categories for 2021 with mix of admits due to holistic review of all engineering:

** The numbers released for 2021 are estimates that don’t actually add up correctly - when the actual numbers are released someone can update the above ** ( I probably won’t be posting by then)

I used the info posted by Tawoo95 in the admissions decisions discussion for the 2021 numbers, 2018 numbers were posted by admissions back in 2014.
