TAMU Engineering Continues to Prosper

The American Society of Engineering Education recently released its report for 2014. https://www.asee.org/papers-and-publications/publications/14_11-47.pdf I always find it to be interesting reading (but that’s just me).

In 2014, TAMU awarded 1517 bachelor’s degrees in engineering, 4th in the US, and up from 1394 in 2013. Total undergraduate enrollment was 9,661, second in the country, and up from 8390 in 2013. Total graduate enrollment was 3379, 5th in the US, and up from 3066 in 2013. There were 379 tenure-track faculty positions in 2014, fourth in the country.

In 2014, TAMU engineering research expenditures were $293 million, second in the US behind M.I.T., and ahead of Stanford, Illinois, Purdue, Michigan, and Cal Berkeley, to name a few.

These figures do not include TAMU accredited engineering programs at other campuses.
