TAMU Spring 2019 Transfer

Then you might really enjoy UTD over Tamu. It’s in Dallas so some commuters but also a campus feel with students living on campus. The campus is pretty and modern. You should visit! And again, their engineering is highly regarded.

@AIF9AIF Also consider UT Arlington Engineering. They have a strong relationship with Lockheed Martin. The campus has expanded greatly in the past several years, a brand new science and engineering innovation building, new apartment buildings going up everywhere, and the surrounding campus area of downtown becoming a walk-able area with shops/restaurants, etc. Lots of non traditional students in all majors.

Thanks @AggieMomhelp I will do some research about this school.

@AIF9AIF I am currently a UTD student. They have a very strong engineering program, in fact, they just finished a new building for engineering. The school is a Tier 1 research university, with strong connections to Texas Instruments. I wouldn’t say the Campus is overly pretty, but it has nice areas, especially in the newer developments. The only big issue there is parking is difficult to find depending on the day since a majority of the students there commute.

@nwen547 Thanks for the info! Are you planning to transfer also?

This might help you … @AIF9AIF @AggieCSdream @JaceyK @tr3wayy @maxtdey @lancemccluskey

@Krisp1 I appreciate it !!!

@KrisP1 Thanks a lot! My current school is ranked in a higher place than A&M LOL. I think I am going to finish my degree hear and then move to TX ( really want to move to TX!)

I usually look rankings on this website, rather then any private website rankings, . @AIF9AIF @AggieCSdream

@KrisP1 Yep me too.

Has anyone from Computer Science heard anything yet?

@maxtdey not yet. just major change

@maxtdey my howdy still says “under review” but my Ais states" denied"

Has anyone heard from computer engineering yet?

Does anyone know when the financial aid updates after receiving acceptance? We need to cover the financial ends but before we can do that, we need to see the financial aid letter. @AggieMomhelp @Thelma2 She is planning on moving in first week of January to get settled in before NCS and possibly transfer camp (still debating).

@JaceyK I wish I knew. In the past, I have not kept up the the transfer student threads. Reading last year’s spring transfer thread may give more answers.

@JaceyK I have no idea either. One would think it would roll out before Christmas.

has anyone been accepted to Computer Science or Computer Engineering yet?

@maxtdey I have not heard back yet. Only a major change

I have tabs!!
