Hi everyone,
Just received an email today saying that I am admitted to the Tandon School of Engineering Honors Program. As an international student, I am wondering how good the program is? Some of the opportunities mentioned in the email are:
- An undergraduate experience rooted in a research-intensive environment. Honors students complete a BS thesis based on independent research with faculty.
- A dedicated Honors adviser, Honors Council, and the opportunity to participate in specialized extracurricular events throughout the year that build a strong sense of community.
- An emphasis on Creative Action: Invention, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, balanced with scholarly and professional development activities embedded throughout the Program.
- Honors students are eligible for one course tuition-free (up to 4 credits) per summer for 4 consecutive summer sessions. This course may be taken at any NYU school except for the NYU Global Academic Centers.
Currently considering Berkeley CS, Michigan CS (both in liberal arts college), and WUSTL CS.
Cheers!
