I get a monthly intramuscular injection of a certain medication, and I was wondering, If i bring the medication to the Tang center, will they be able distribute the medication? I can do it myself (though I haven't done it before...and I have a thing with needles), but I would need a ton of supplies, and was wondering if that was part of the Tang Center's operations.
Also, I waived the health insurance, so even if they could theoretically do it, am I out of luck cuz I don't have their insurance?

Thanks

I think your best bet is calling Tang Center directly. Your case is kind of unusual.

i know that they do injections, so my guess is that they are able to help you. but like was said, you really should call them directly just to make sure.

the services at the tang center are available to all students, regardless of whether or not they waived SHIP. you can still go in and do everything a student with SHIP can do. however, the difference is when it comes to paying. if you have SHIP, the tang center can bill Blue Cross directly and you just have to pay your copayment. but since you waived SHIP, you have to pay in full up front, then they provide you the paperwork so you can bill your own insurance company yourself.
