hello everyone
i really want to go to UCLA and im tap certified

i was just wondering it helps for impacted majors such as

economics and political science

well my CCC says it increases your chance from 45% chance to 85% so im assuming it does give an advantage....

wha econ is impacted?!

son of a *****!!!!

econ is very impacted my friend
very impacted

poli sci is impacted as well. However, at my CCC the counseling office tells us that no TAP certified student didn't get rejected from UCLA... so, maybe that's good.

wut if ur stats are low
my gpa is only a 3.0 its sad i know
but i barely made it tap at my school

but im hoping my merill lynch internship helps or they look at it

oh. for my school it is 3.25 minimum to be in TAP. that is a low GPA... I don't know, honestly.

All i can say is, Good Luck!

with TAP with at least 3.2 GPA you are in UCLA! no doubt...

^ im not so sure about that though. If it helps even the slightest chance, just do it.

ive been googlin' some of it... had some published reports from different cc's citing a 90% admittance rate. In my opinion I think the only reason TAP is not guarenteed admittance is because it's obviously unfair for 3.2's to do TAP and get admitted into a heavily competed major such as econ/biz or bio (you get the idea).

I think you'll make it in poli sci but for economics... i'd really need to know much more than just tap certified to give you a well educated opinion.

Hope this helps.

How about for an English major?
I have a 3.36 Transferable, IGETC completed, TAP Certified, 3.7x major GPA, 64 transferable units by the end of spring, all pre-reqs done

I wanna know the answer to the last post too!
I'm basically in the same situation

English (surprisingly, an impacted major)
3.47 gpa
2 IGETC classes left

definitely considering attending Foothill for TAP...

For economics even with TAP a 3.0 seems very low. Maybe Poli Sci. But you really should try to pick up that GPA. For you English guys TAP will help you tremendously since you are both borderline students.
