Hey guys, I want to get into the TAP program to transfer to UCLA. I have only 2 problems, I have not taken the English placement test and I don't have a GPA of 3.25 from high school. The English test will be no problem, I'll take it soon. What can I do if my high school GPA doesn't qualify? Is there any other way I can get into TAP, with a GPA of about 2.5 from high school. My major is Biology. Thanks.

Ehhhh, i never had TAP and got in fine haha.

Get a 3.0 or whatever GPA your CCC requires to do the honors/scholar program to complete TAP. Just starts TAP next spring after your first quarter/semester at your CCC.

^ That would be the best way to go. It does get a little harder though kaz you will have to complete 15 scholars units (or however many scholars units according to your school’s program) by Fall 2010, assuming you’ll be applying then (you have to meet the scholars requirements by the fall you apply).

But I’d say just try applying? It won’t hurt, right? And if you don’t get it, try crashing or enrolling in scholars courses (even if you’re not in the program, some ‘scholars’ classes are open to all students).

Good luck!
