............... ?

I haven't died from drinking it, so...I doubt it will cause severe bodily injury.

I'm going to venture a yes.

I tried to drink the water out of the bathroom sinks and it tasted gross, and gave me a stomach ache. My roomate brought one of those Brita filters from home, so its all good.

It's as safe as any tap water. It does have a chlorine taste, but I find most tap water does.

it comes from the Sierras, though they add flouride and other chemicals -- it is quite safe.

Tap water has to meet higher standards than bottled water companies do. So it is more than safe to drink.

someone check me on it but i have heard berkeley has some of the best tap water in the country

Tastes like regular what to me. I drink roughly a gallon of it a day, lawl :-|. I'm all good over here.

The tap water is definitely FINE. You may just dislike the taste (though it all tastes the same to me...hmmm).

Yeah, it's way better than the tap water in San Diego (live a few miles from shore, so naturally unfiltered tap water is quite salty).

i've heard the tap water is good here.

also smallz is right.

the tap water tastes like candy

The tap water here is like sex compared to most places. Mmm mmm mmm, get your minerals straight from the source.

The water here is great. It's much better than most places I've been (excluding snow capped mountain-type areas). There's a bit of chlorine flavor, but much less than most places. I also happen to know it's much better for the typical aquarium (because it's relatively soft water). Infinitely better than Santa Cruz.

If you are scared, invest $30 in a Brita pitcher and a few filters. It should last you at least 6-9 months (the filters).

mmm berkeley water.. YUM
not only is it safe it is .. the best!

Tap water should be okay to drink. However, if you do distill Berkeley's tap water, you end up with a yellowish liquid with a slight smell of wintermelon.

If you're afraid of Berkeley water, you're just much too concerned with water quality in general. If you want some really clean water (so soft it's strip you of your nutrients) you could always get a 5-stage Reverse-Osmosis filter. In fact I've got a 2-stage I could sell you.
