Hey, this is a weird question, but what's the tap water taste like at McGill? Any good? Where I live now, tap water tastes disgusting, I would never drink it, but where I used to live it tasted very good and no different than bottled water. I'd just like to know if I have to worry about buying water all the time at McGill or just use the tap water.
(Btw, yes, I realize this question is beyond ridiculous, but I really am very curious.) :)

Not rediculous at all! In my opinion, the tap water's not TERRIBLE... it's drinkable, but definitely has a bit of a dank taste. I would highly suggest investing in one of those Brita water filters to keep in the fridge - they seem to do the trick! And then you always have nice cool water, too ;)

Do you think Brita filters really make a difference? When I was an exchange student, my host mom always used a Brita filter and I loved the water, but my (real) mom here in America said she tried one and it didn't even make a difference.

i like them personally... i think theyre worth it...

I think it has something to do with how bad the water is in the first place? I know lots of kids at McGill use it...

I didn't mind the water in Douglas at all, and I doubt it's much different anywhere else around campus, so I wouldn't worry.

The filter does make a difference here, but to me, putting it in the fridge is sufficient (and necessary in the summer). I like my water cold and inexpensive...
