can someone help me on this
i got tardy for like the first time in my life
not only that but i was marked absent when i was merely "excused" from class for academic reasons which does not actually translate to being absent.

but my focus is tardies. if you get them (my school show them along with absent days) then what do top colleges usually think? like yeah ivy league but i mean good colleges in general

ugh please tell me quick cuz i'd rather know than get totally ticked off over my teacher who knows absolutely nothing about how our school works

^ Same here. Now, they may start to notice if you have two dozen within one year like some of my friends, but they won't care if you have a couple here or there (which is pretty funny because today I almost got a tardy because I woke up at 9 when school starts at 7, but I just decided to stay home and miss the entire day today).

um, last year I missed about ~ 20-25 days of school and more than 20 tardies (still maintained a 4.0 though :P) Each year a ton of absences and tardies. They really, really don't care. That would be silly.

Unless you're missing ALOT of class, everyone is human... IT might actually be a turn off if they so NO tardies at all.
Tardies happen every once in a while, so I mean it give the conotation that your human...which you are? right?

I'm pretty sure they don't even check if you are late to class. It's a trivial factor and as long as you have great grades in that particular class, you should be fine.

I have this really crazy physics teacher and he loves ruining student's attendance record. There was this one kid a few years back who had perfect attendance from first through 11th grade. He told our teacher this and he marked him absent. He was in class that day :P.

^ My friend hasn't missed a day since kindergarten. He loves gloating about that (especially since I miss like 5 every 9 weeks). He'd be so mad if a teacher tried that on him. Also his mom would be ranting about it and probably get the teacher fired for that.

I really lol when I see cars with bumber stickers that say "My child has perfect attendance at Blah Blah Elementary." Perfect attendance means nothing and anyone who worries about it needs to get a life.

Yeah, I've never been big on perfect attendance either. My grades don't suffer from my absences and me missing days gives me a break when I need it.
