<p>SO it goes from 900 (apply) to 170 (interviews) to 86 (get in)</p>
<p>so thats where yer 10% comes from. But notice after interviews its 50/50 so wear your slacks pressed and make sure to impress. ;-)</p>

<p>Most of the people here seem extremely well-spoken. Or as well-spoken as the internet gets. I think that if you get to the interview stage, they're just trying to weed out the socially inept kids that can't speak candidly, etc., who could hide it in their essays. Some of the smartest kids aren't really cut out for a community program like this.</p>
<p>But they interview SO many people. How could half of the 150-ish BEST essay-writers in the country be socially inept? I'm not quite convinced.</p>

I also did not have the time to read through the 140+ pages of TASP discussion so I am left wondering what others have chosen to write about.</p>
