<p>BUT. About the public/private thing, I'll agree that an abrupt switch to nothing we do being private would probably wreck most of the people in the world today, and I'll agree that today's society probably wouldn't be able to handle it. However, in a theoretical universe where the human race had developed with a tendency towards not having any reason to keep something secret, I think we would be much better off.</p>
<p>I think the difference between what I'm imagining is that a completely "public" world for me doesn't necessarily require a totalitarian government installing cameras in all our houses and broadcasting everything we do for the entire world to know. Imagine instead a world where no one has to keep secrets. If we don't like someone, we let them know. If we like to cook in our spare time, why should no one else know that? And on the flip side, if we're mass murderers, society should know that too. =P</p>
<p>I guess I'm kinda cheating by constructing a "perfect world," but hey. I think it could work, and it allows us to sidestep the problems with society itself and get to deciding whether or not human nature could handle it. =)</p>
<p>As for celebrities, I don't think there's anything inherently evil about them. I think it's a combination of the tabloids exaggerating what they do and them being under the constant pressure of being looked up to and idolized by who knows how many other people. If we were all in the same situation, the tabloids wouldn't really exist and they wouldn't really be under as much pressure</p>
<p>And I still haven't been contacted yet either. =)</p>

<p>Well, A-san and I discovered that we were having the same interviewers on the same day, an hour apart. It naturally follows that we'd meet up!</p>

<p>yeah people are meeting. I think andrew and diana are meeting each other soon. I had a dream the other night that I went to visit someone I met on here and they murdered me. Then the next day my google homepage horoscope said to beware of my dreams because they are trying to tell me something. I don't really care about my horoscope most of the time (i just read it for fun and cause i'm bored) but this time it really caught my attention. =/</p>

<p>haha, i don't know!! thats the thing. I didn't really see the person's face. The only reason I know it was a person from TASP was because I remember telling my friend I was going to meet a friend of mine "I met through that summer program I applied to." It could have been anyone. </p>
<p>I know how the dream came about though. Earlier in the day I was on AIM talking to some people from here. My friend imed me and of course asked "what's up" so i responded "just talking to a few friends." Well then that ignited her curiosity which led to "How did you meet them?" Yeah well i just said onling through that summer program and she went on for an hour about how dangerous it is to meet people online. </p>
