i wore nice pants and shirt... the kid who went after me wore a suit. my interviewer was wearing a sweatshirt. when it comes down to it, it didn't seem to matter much.

woohoo...guess who still hasn't been notified yet? :) ah well. i'm feeling patient right now (which happens like, never). it sounds like some of you really had phenomenal interviews! congrats! ah TASP...i get butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it. i want to go so badly!!!

cdon, do you remember about how long the interview lasted? Also, did you guys also touch on current events, or was the conversation mainly based on the essays?

mine was about an 1 hr 30 mins. i wasn't asked about current events, but i included them in some of my responses.

ROFLCOPTER The Whitest Kids U Know is the best show eveerrr
that is all

mine was pretty much exactly an hour because he had a tight schedule and the next kid was ready to go. we touched on current events as they were relavent to what we were talking about. it's not like he said, so, what's your stance on the war? it was more like we would talk about subtexts in the media and i might mention a specific issue in which that was relavent, you know? i did make a point of reading the onion, newsweek and the ny times during the week (not just for the interview... i basically read them anyway..haha im a dork), which i suppose helped a little, but not too too much. anyway i hope that helps... but i think in the end every interview is different, depending on you, your essays, and your interviewer. the conversation might go anywhere.

Congrats and Good Luck to all who had your interviews.

Off to study for the 4 tests I have tomorrow.

Dude!
What if there are interviewers lurking on the board? They could totally match where you live to your user name or posts, and figure out who you are. Scary...

Dude!

That'd be hilarious.

I would laugh my head off if my interviewer was like, "Hey - you're tako!"

or they could figure out "who you are" from your interviews...

Sidjenks, not only is that boring, it is also not true.

Who is actually themselves during an interview?

Seriously, people these days. shakes head

Tako, who do you plan to be during your interview?

I should add that my interview was kind of scary. I had four relatively old people shooting hard questions at me for an hour, and I didn't think my 'true self' came out either.

I plan to be Peter Pan, of course (with the whole British accent going).

I will wear all green, including my spic and span little hat (pronouced haut), and mocassins (sp?).

When I am asked what I think of dying (for no reason whatsoever), I shall reply, "To die will be an awfully big adventure."

When I am asked about what I think about myself, I shall reply, "I'm youth, I'm joy, I'm a little bird that has broken out of the egg."

Then, towards the end of my interview, I shall open the little fanny pack upon my waist, take out some magic fairy dust, and sprinkle it upon my interviewer, seize his hand, and jump out the window screaming, "Believe! Believe!"

Noooo My Interviewer Is A Girllllll

Nooooo End Of My World :(

Wow! Well I guarantee that if you actually pulled that off, your interviewers would be impressed. Probably evenin a positive way - it would show some real gall and chutzpah.

NOO It says WEEE

I don't want a panel.

This is miserable. My life sucks.

Yes, but it could be a panel of gay trixies who would be enchanted by your costume.

Besides, cheer up. I had a panel, it wasn't that bad, kinda fun, actually

Well, the person who contacted me is a Stanford student, only three years older than me :) She writes for the Stanford Daily, so I am totally going to read every single one of her articles.

Haha the power of the internet...

I do wish it was a one-on-one interview, but I guess a panel won't be THAT bad. It is taking place on the Stanford campus, so no coffee shop, unfortunately.

Scary! Contact has been established -_-

Oh, and dilemna. They scheduled my interview the day after junior prom, so I'm probably going to be somewhat exhausted. Should I just accept, regardless? I don't think "tired because junior prom was the day before" is a very legit excuse...

Wait is your interviewers initials JK?

:-D

I was definitely just contacted for my interview too, we must have the same ppls...??? No?
