Meebo, yes that is what I use, its great to help procrastination too lol, you can just click out the window and bring it back on pretty easily. It's not so invasive I'd say, as AIM.

Today was like my first all-nighter!

Almost. I fell asleep for half an hour at 11:40...so sad. It's okay, maybe tomorrow. (this week SUCKS for me...rawr)

Lit essay is looking pretty good though. I'm starting to <3 it.

Meebo is blocked too. =/

However, bypassfirewallnow.com is not. :0 But that only works for web pages, not AIM. =/

Has anyone else still not been contacted by their interviewer? I'm getting a bit worried...

psshhht tako
my all-nighter count is probably in the high 30s
8-)

contacted...eeek i'm very nervous now (but excited). :p It's funny, I promised myself that I wouldn't invest myself in the process (I didn't give TASP another thought after submitting the application, having fully convinced myself that I would never receive an interview), but now my thought process is basically ----TASP----TASP----etc. It's going to hurt a lot more if I don't get through now, as opposed to earlier. I want to go so badly!

Unfortunately, I'm not extremely articulate verbally...I'm much more coherent on paper. Sigh.

uber- Don't worry. You'll be contacted soon. If the person on the phone and the email/snail mail said you recieved and interveiw just be patient. Patience is a virtue.

i feel the same way. i think it's because before interview notifications came out, i never saw tasp as a realistic possibility. it was always in the back of my mind, but i figured that there was no real use in working myself up over something so incredibly out of my reach. i agree with you in that it will hurt a lot more now, but that's just a risk we chose to take, i guess, by applying. i think about tasp more than i would like to, but that's kind of expected. my brain wanders throughout the day, especially in school.. during ap biology lectures...

anyways, good luck to everyone who has interviews coming up, and congrats to those who had theirs already! anyone else have it at princeton around the 14-15th?

"Unfortunately, I'm not extremely articulate verbally...I'm much more coherent on paper. Sigh."

I feel the same exact way. I had a nightmare last night that my interview would be like something I read in Liar's Poker.
Ibankers would ask potential employees to open windows on 80 story buildings, that couldnt be opened. stuff like that.. :-(

Ahh, its funny how I also feel the same as unefleursauvage... I have never done a real interview before, and I have hardly argued my ideas much with anyone. :(

where's your interview boomer?
mine's at dartmouth or in white river jct

For those of you who have been interviewed already (yay!), was the interview more of an informal discussion/conversation, or was it more formal with a lot of note-taking on the part of the interviewer?

Note-taking would be the end of me. I would die trying to get a glance of the notepad, not to mention the awkward silences between answers and questions while the interviewer dots the i's and crosses the t's.

What should we wear (boys?) to the interview? Is jeans and a polo OK? Maybe Jeans and a button down? Not too formal I assume?

i know that somebody last year had her interview recorded on tape, and another '06er had two interviewers, one who took notes and one who asked questions.

celita, i think it depends on where you have your interview. mine's at princeton, so i'm going to wear dress pants and a short sleeved blouse with a blazer. if you have it at starbuck's, obviously you'd want to dress on the casual side.

I totally feel all of you! I don't know if I could just peel off answers to the kinds of questions I know they'll be asking. I can debate my geisha paper into the group, no problem, but when it comes to rapid-fire questioning, my mouth goes on autopilot, and I know I might make a fool of myself. >_>;;

I guess I'll just have to stay calm and collected, and hope they don't point out any of my blatant, glaring errors.

I'll probably wear a pair of nice heels (nothing like indimidating people...I'm six feet tall in socks) and jeans, with a collared shirt. I'll also get my hair cut the day before so it looks nice. =D

Hey, the RSI kids are starting to get their acceptance letters. =O

We should raid them tomorrow.

hahahaha

only two letteres, supposedly
I am praying I get an acceptance letter tomorrow while I am in ATL
my moms said she would call though
