So interviews for TASP are much more important in the process than interviews for colleges; the recommendations, while not binding, are taken quite seriously. No need to freak out, though; I promise that interviewers aren't out to see you crash and burn

I totally get what you mean sidjenks, I called not getting in as soon as I said bye to my interviewers lol.

Ah, memories. I remember when my interviewer asked me if I had any questions I asked him "Where is the laundry room at the house?" He actually told me the truth. =O

Yeah, counting down over here too. =O

I'm gonna get my hair cut right before the interview so it still looks nice. XD

I had an awful dream last night that my school was forcing the junior class to commit mass suicide in an Egyptian tomb. I managed to escape, but even thinking about this awful nightmare makes me claustrophobic. Eeeeeehg. >_>;;

Mass suicide...iriseyes, that's a tad scary :P

Oh my! I can't think of anything to say...that's a first :P

New lit book love...East of Eden <3

Bum BUM bum bum BUM BUM bum. I'm bored. BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM...bum.

:( I don't have a panel
oh well

Iris... That reminds me of the mass suicide that happened with that freaky cult who thought they would go to god. The funny thing (In terms of mass suicide) was that they were all wearing matching Nikes when they were found, such good product placement. That is genious marketing.

IDK w/E lame story.

Haha that is really funny, Corey!

That also reminds me of Survivor by Chuck...something. All the people in the death cult commit suicide except the narrator. Hilarious story.

chuck palahniuk. it's an interesting book.

lol

Im so tired and I have a giant Jap wksht and a Big chem prelab :-/

I love/hate lacrosse. 4 games today and 11 hours at the field GAHHH

Wow Corey lacrosse sounds super intense...I think I'll make my kid play it, poor kid :)

lol tako. Btw, I'm alive at safe and sound at home. I love riding in vermont and i really never want to go back to mountain creek/camelback again.

corey- 4 games in one day? wow who scheduled that?

probably semis or something

Just a question:

Now that interviews have come out, I am wondering what program you're most interested in. I remember I was all obsessed over Cornell, but in the end I went to the UT Austin one and realized that it was not the program, but the people, that mattered.

At any rate, I'm curious to know. I can tell you a bit about Austin if you would like (though any response has to wait until 29th after college decisions)

Well, I'm devoted to Cornell II, it's my absolute favorite. But I agree, I think I would enjoy any seminar because the people would rock.

Yeah, my dream was weird. The worst part was when I woke up, I was very mistru****l of the people organizing the "event" for at least a day. I think I'm going to have an overarching fear of Egypt now.

But you know, I haven't had a nightmare in at least two months, so I consider this a success. =D

EDIT: oh my god, a word...meaning "without trust"...was edited. Try to figure out what the stars bleeped.

Lol censorship works in the funniest ways sometimes... Yep, i'm back from hiatus. Spring break!!! Wooooo!! XD Plus, I got contacted by my interviewer, and my interview's scheduled for april 7th, though the location is still tentative.

LOTS of congratulations to those who made it through their interviews! Just a general question: In terms of current events, did anyone's interviewers get crazy into it with a lot of specific, detailed questions, or was it general concepts and stuff you'd find on the daily 5:00 news?

I'm still not sure whether I should be excited or nervous for this... I think i'm off to read my essays again. :P

PS I am very much divided between Cornell II and UT Austin. I put down Cornell as my top choice, though UT is a very close second... I feel as though I'm better suited (well...have more of a background) to discuss technological-type topics, but the Renaissance (although I have little to no prior knowledge about it) interests me very much. Hm...

PPS Junior prom? Lucky ducks. :( Our school doesn't spring for junior prom...we only have prom prom, as in senior prom. :P Have fun! :D (I expect pictures.)

i put cornell II and michigan as my firsts, even though the michigan seminar is probably more intune with my interests/subject of my essays. i absolutely love discussions on race/identity/culture/etc, but then again, the cornell II seminar deals with the human form, which is also fascinating, given my background in art and figure drawing. also, cornell seminars = double the taspers, so that's always a plus. especially since tasp = people.

i know all you previous taspers are probably all biased, but would you mind shedding some insight over whether 17-18 taspers is the ideal number, or 30something? (cohesiveness, the overall experience, etc)

I like Cornell II because I <3 history, but also because it sounds like we'll be discussing religious policy's changes during the time period, which is always awsome. Also, access to the rare documents library...woot.

I just re-read my essays, realizing that if I procrastinate any longer I'll be screwed, and then I realized I don't have anything to worry about because I actually CAN discuss everything I said. It was a big relief. I guess I should have read what I wrote before getting worked up before, huh? ^_^;
