your punctuality with your regular app would over compensate for the lateness of the rec letter.

Email if you will feel more comfortable, but I'm sure you will get the typical its all good don't worry email. (which undoubtedly will make you feel even more scared :-P)

Congrats you punctual one names himself a deep red from Hanover.

Gah I drove through there this summer, we were going 90 in our little Hyundai rental trying to get to Methuen, Mass. Highway 89 (is that right or is it 87?) has the ugliest cell phone towers. But it makes a great stretch to go really fast on... we went from Lebanon to the border in about 1 hour. CRAZY :-P

i don't think they even see your scores... there was no place for you to mention them, really. i doubt there's any benefit of having the original app; i got the app from a teacher nomination (my psat scores were below most of my friends' scores, and they didn't get the app sent to them) so they can't really tell who got the app from having stellar psat scores.

lol, don't worry about it, billy_liar. i'm sure your application is fine and your essays are wonderful. and essays are the important part, anyways.

I'm pretty jealous. They never sent me any applications. I scored 225 or-so on PSATs. I had to find out about this program from a friend in Cornell.

Congratulation Roamorse, Tako, and all you other fabulous TASPaplicantees who submitted today!!! hand everyone virtual "congrats" mylar ballon with king size candy bar weights tied to the bottom of the string :D

Last year I got 218 on the PSAT, and that was 99%.

I don't think they take test scores into account at all, but mannnnn I wish they did! :( :( :( 'cause, as they say, I "pwned" the PSAT this year. XD.

I got the real app in the mail, and that's what I sent in. So I actually did have a "folder" haha

They must've gotten my name for the PSAT (I did well) because NOT A SINGLE ADMIN AT MY SCHOOL HAS HEARD OF TASP. So yes, I have the non-internet version of the app.

Haha. And Roam, I was hoping maybe the scores would make up for my essays. Oh well. I'm not going to worry about it! (Biggest lie of my life.)

Billy I have heard your essays are stellar.

Anyways any one can write in and get an official app, so don't worry about that.

Original rounds where sent based on scores, but during real application process I don't believe they can just ask the college board (or whoever administers PSAT) for your scores.

Yes, not a single admin at my school had heard of the program; not even my college counselor.

God, I hope I get into Cornell II. The entire topic seems ready made for me.

Did anyone else feel a strong...intense aversion to some of the courses? I would die in St. Louis for six weeks. It's just not for me, yo.

I definately didn't get a perfect score on the PSAT. A friend of mine got, like, 234 and did not recieve the app. I think it's a pretty mixed bag.

Well, good luck to everyone and congradulations to all of us mailers who barely made the postmark deadline today. High five. =D

I honestly don't think I'd mind going to any of the seminars. I've really hardly been to any states not on the west coast, so I'd like to see what it's like in Missouri and Texas and stuff. haha

The teacher who's writing my recommendation says he'll give it to me tomorrow...will TASP still consider it if it's a few days late? Also, I've realized that I only requested two transcripts, so I'll have to get another tomorrow as well. To cap it all, I'm applying online, so the transcripts and teacher letter are already late!
What should I do? I could print out my essays now and quickly send everything, but I still want to edit them. I found out about TASP really late, but I really really really want to go...
Thanks,
(A grateful) Sheep

I lived in Houston for a few years growing up and although I liked it, it is the hottest place I've ever been in the summer. Air conditioning is random as well in my experience.

I would be happy to take any of them, I guess, simply to be around smart people for an extended period of time. It's rare to have such a concentration of ability, isn't it?

*edit: Sheep, just send them an email. I'm sure they'll understand. After all, they have almost six thousand essays to read. You have some time yet.
